The ventilation system in the different types of buildings is composed of separate parts, which need to be assembled into a single functional system by means of the shaped elements for air ducts. What varieties are offered by the company "Chernev Clima" and what is their application, what are the rules for their installation? Let's see!

What types of fittings are there

The ventilation system itself consists of many separate parts, each of which must be connected, and for this purpose the shaped elements for air ducts are used. The most frequently preferred and offered by the company "Chernev Clima" are:

  • Elbow - used to pass the installation at the corners. According to the production material, they are divided into models of galvanized sheet metal, plastic, stainless steel and black non-galvanized steel sheet. The first and second fittings for air ducts are preferred in the construction of domestic installations. They are lighter and significantly cheaper than other types, which are preferred in the construction of industrial systems. They can be at a right angle of 90 ° or 45 °.
  • Tees - are connecting fittings for air ducts with three outlets of the letter "T", which allows the creation of a branched structure. Their use increases the aerodynamic and acoustic characteristics of the installation. Modern technologies and equipment allow the production of tees of all shapes and complexity, which makes them applicable in many areas, as a connecting part. There are two main types - round and rectangular, depending on the shape of the conductive pipes used.
  • Reducers - their purpose is to provide a transition from a larger diameter to a smaller or vice versa. For example, the reducer allows switching from size f160 to f125, where it is necessary to run a similar route, as well as to connect the end part with this size.
  • Saddle deflection - this type of air duct fittings have a saddle shape, hence their name. They are designed to transition from a system with one diameter to another. These components are often used as a final solution for ventilation grilles and diffusers. Usually such parts are made of galvanized steel for maximum strength and durability.
  • Plug - This is a type of duct fitting used to seal the system outlets. It protects the interior from the ingress of dirt, water, insects and rodents. May prevent air from entering certain ducts of the installation. When choosing, it is necessary to select the exact diameter so that the part fits during installation.
  • Nipples - is a detail that allows the connection of two separate components with the same diameters. In this case, a good option is for the nipple to be made of the same material from which both separate components of the pipeline are made. The nipples are used only in the case of connecting straight sections, and their small lengths allow the connection to be made in small spaces, which improves the convenience of their use.

Application

From the point of view of the shape of the shaped elements for air ducts, they can be square or round. The former are preferred in private homes, apartments and summer villas. The latter are for industrial buildings, premises and workshops. From the point of view of the material used for their production, plastic and metal variants are often preferred. The main advantage of the former is their lightness and low cost, as well as ease of installation.

Metal fittings for air ducts are used in large and complex industrial installations, but are also found in domestic conditions. They have high mechanical strength, durability and resistance to sunlight and natural phenomena.

Among the gearboxes there are types designed for combined installations, where round and rectangular components are used. In this case, the reducer makes a transition from a rectangular to a round hole, allowing the addition of spiral tubes.

Installation rules

When building a ventilation system, it must meet criteria such as heat and sound insulation, maximum connection density, resistance to external and internal loads, maximum strength. The installation of the ductwork elements and the installation itself are carried out in the unused areas of the room, so as not to create obstacles to the functionality and operation of the room.

It is recommended to install it away from heating appliances and to ground the structure, especially if it is entirely metal. This prevents the accumulation of static voltage and eliminates the preconditions for fires.

The fastening of the structure can be done on the ceiling, ceiling trusses and supporting components, walls and others. When installing the components of the system and the shaped elements for air ducts, there must be a distance from the ceiling of at least 0.1 m, and to the walls - at least 0.05 m. In the presence of communication connections from water supply and gas pipelines, the minimum distance from them must be at least 0.25 m. When passing near electrical conductors, the minimum distance between the pipes should be not less than 0.3 m.
